Character Class Guide

 

We have just released the “True Dungeon Character Class Guide”!  It is designed to be a quick read and reference to give the players (and volunteers!) at great quick run-down of all the new classes.  All the old 3rd level characters have been upgraded to 4th level this year, and those with the Trio of Might can play them as 5th level characters.

 

Some of the changes have been fairly substantial, and we have crafted the characters to be more inter-locked with their skills and powers.  Also, all the 5th level characters gain either a new special power or access to higher level spells.  True Dungeon will now see “Fireball” and “Cure Serious Wounds”!

Get Your True Grind “Bloodbeard’s Bounty" Tickets Now!

 

There are only a handful of tickets left for this year’s brand new True Grind adventure entitled “Bloodbeard’s Bounty”.  It is a cool one-hour hackfest that is non-stop, pulse-pounding combat.  This combat gauntlet tells the story of how the party finds the location of the Lair of the Sea-Lich. Players must set sail for the waters of Brinewater Bay to learn the location of the Lair of the Sea-Lich from the dreaded orc-pirate Bloodbeard. The battle will rage above and below the Bay's black waters.

 

Also, keep in mind that we are offering THREE two-hour adventures this year:

 

Dragon’s Redoubt: This brand new adventure allows you another chance to defeat the toughest monster in TD history…an animatronic red dragon!

 

The Lair of the Sea-Lich (combat oriented): This adventure has two different rooms from "The Lair of the Sea-Lich (puzzle oriented)" and has more combat.

You can now purchase tickets for the 2011 True Dungeon events at www.genconreg.com.

 

Just click on "Find Events" on the Gen Con Reg homepage, and then on the next page select "True Dungeon Adventures" from the Event Type drop down list.  Click check the "Hide sold-out events" box, and then hit "Search".

 

You will then see a listing of all the tickets available. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Token Character-Equipper Program

We are now beta-testing a cool new program in the True Dungeon Forums that allows you to create and equip TD characters with TD tokens -- and the program will automatically calculate all the various stats for you!  It has a nice graphical interface so all you have to do is click on a certain item slot (like "Head"), then browse for your certain token (like "Great Helm") and then select the token image.  After you have equipped your character you can save the "build" to your forum account.  You can view it later and other players can view your stable of characters.  The really cool part is you can also create and join whole 10-player parties, and the program will even print out an official Party Card -- along with a listing of the tokens needed for the stats on the Party Card.

 

This Party Card (and token list) can then be brought to Gen Con Indy so that your Coaching time at your event with that Party is a quick check.  The Coach only has to verify that you each have the tokens on the Party Card list.

 

Just create a Forum account and then click on "My Account" in the top right-hand corner. Then click on "View My Characters & Parties" to check out our beta version of the Token Character-Equipper program.  It is great fun just to mess around with various character builds AND it is a great time saver at the start of your event!  Please keep in mind that this is just a beta version, and we have a few things to fix (like Ranged AC).

 

 

 

 

         

 

 

The Mithral Set (Be 5th Level!)

 

Possessing more than one Ultra Rare token can give your character some added benefits.  Three notable set powers are in play this year involving the five "Might" magic items:

 

    Crown of Might (2009) <no longer available

    Orb of Might (2010)*

    Scepter of Might (2011)*

    Boots of Might (2011)*

    Girdle of Might (2011)*

 

*Available this year as one of your Ultra Rare selections with every $250 purchase.  You also might find the 2011 tokens randomly in any 10-pack!

 

"Trio of Might":  Equipping with any three of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon.  Being 5th level gets your character more hit points, powers and 3rd level spells if your character is a spell caster.

 

"Quartet of Might":  Equipping with any four of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon, and your character gains +2 to melee damage.

 

"Quintet of Might":  Equipping with all five of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon, and your character gains +4 to melee damage.

Event Details

 

Before you can buy any TD tickets, you must obtain a Gen Con Indy 1-Day or 4-Day Badge.  Once you have a Badge, you can buy True Dungeon event tickets online starting at Noon (Eastern) on Sunday, May 1, 2011.  Ticket prices have been reduced down to $38 this year, but we are now offering ticket slots until Midnight on Saturday night (and teams are now 10 players).
