It looks like True Dungeon has sold over 7,000 tickets for all its events – only a week after tickets have gone on sale. This includes about 6,000 tickets to the two-hour adventures. I want to thank the TD Community for their incredible support, and I want to thank all the volunteers who make it happen. This is our 10^th annual event, and with the move to our huge space inside the Indiana Convention Center, it should be quite a memorable year. We are sorry if you did not get all the tickets that you wanted. We will try to make more tickets available in 2013, but much depends on the number volunteers. If you want to see more tickets available, please consider volunteering.

The Golden Ticket

We are randomly inserting 10 special Golden Ticket tokens into the Second Printing of the 2012 token collection. Instead of a Common token, you get one of these uber-cool tokens in your 10-pack. NOTE: The first print run of Treasure Tokens has SOLD OUT and all those Golden Tickets are in circulation. These GT tokens look like the label to the right, and they are placed on gold colored tokens. These 30 GT tokens can be redeemed at 6:00pm on Thursday for a special run with a bonus room -- and a host of goodies. A second run of Treasure Tokens is now being sold, and another 10 Golden Ticket tokens have been randomly inserted into the second printing at the same rate.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Golden Ticket tokens from the second printing are placed on PLATINUM tokens. These 10 GT tokens can be redeemed at 6:00pm on FRIDAY for a special run with a bonus room -- and a host of goodies.

We have several promotions that allow you to pick an Ultra Rare token to include FREE with your order. We allow you to pick from the current year – as well as the previous year. If you are still with me all the way down here at the bottom of the eblast, please accept my thanks for helping to support True Dungeon. It has been a long-held dream of mine to see True Dungeon expand into the Convention Center. I wanted it to have the space it needs for a cool “pre-event” area, and I wanted to see it located in the heart of Gen Con Indy. In this, our tenth year, we finally see that dream coming true. This year feels much like it did back in 2003 when we had no idea what we were doing! We just had a strong desire to make something very cool for our fellow gamers, and we hoped it would all work out for us. I had been to Gen Con Indy about 20 times before True Dungeon even started – so I knew Gen Con Indy pretty well. And my gut told me that there were other gamers like me who wanted to see a life-size dungeon adventure.

It was very gratifying to see the great response our event has received, as it makes all the long hours well worth it. I feel like the luckiest Dungeon Master in the world, as I get to live out my dreams of running a cool life-size dungeon “campaign” for thousands of my fellow Gen Con Indy gamers.

And hey…don’t tell anyone, but I am having more fun than any of my players!
