TICKETS ON SALE!

We Are Pumped!

We are getting pumped up about True Dungeon now that all the event details are published, and we can get back to build the cool sets and props.  I think the players will enjoy the underwater room sets and the other surprises we have planned.  Probably our coolest (and most expensive) upgrade this year will be our new sound and lighting effect systems.  We are upgrading to professional DMX-controlled LED RGB spotlights in every room, and each room will have complete surround-sound (with sub-woofer) for all music and sound effects.  It really adds to the immersion.  Also, players seem to really like the animatronic monsters so we are bringing even more of those this year.

Tickets Go On Sale Sunday, May 1st!

Before you can buy any TD tickets, you must obtain a Gen Con Indy 1-Day or 4-Day Badge.  Once you have a Badge, you can buy True Dungeon event tickets online starting at Noon (Eastern) on Sunday, May 1, 2011.  Ticket prices have been reduced down to $38 this year, but we are now offering ticket slots until Midnight on Saturday night (and teams are now 10 players).

More Stuff to Get You Pumped for True Dungeon!

Just in case you missed it, here is the cast members of "The Guild" talking about all the fun they had at True Dungeon in 2010.  It is really great to see them recounting their adventures -- especially the amazing feat that Wil Wheaton pulled off by one-shot'ing Smoak just as his whole party was about to die.

(It is a little shaky at first, but it gets better!)

And just in case you missed it, here is our cool 2011 Teaser Trailer!  Please help spread the word and post the link to the video on your Facebook and/or Twitter page.  Thank you!

2011 Event Details

True Adventures, Ltd. is proud to offer the following two completely new two-hour adventures.

"The Lair of the Sea-Lich" : This completely new underwater adventure takes place after the party has fled the lair of Smoak the newly-created draco-lich. The party must now venture into the underwater lair of the dreaded Sea-Lich who terrorizes the coast with her icy-touch and shape-changing powers. Only inside her watery tomb can the party find the origin of the evil artifact that created Smoak the draco-lich - and perhaps a method to defeat Smoak's evil for good.

NOTE: Two slightly different versions of this adventure will be offered. One is more puzzle-oriented, while the other is more combat-focused. They count as the same adventure for earning Experience Points (XP).

"Dragon's Redoubt" : This completely new dragon-hunt adventure takes place at the same time as last year's battle with Smoak the red dragon. It tells the story of how the party from last year's True Grind adventure battles their way into Smoak's lair on their own important mission. First, to locate and open a secret door through which all other parties can flee; and second, to defeat the weakened red dragon.

We also will be offering this one-hour combat hack-fest:

"True Grind: Bloodbeard's Bounty" : This combat gauntlet tells the story of how the party finds the location of the Lair of the Sea-Lich. Players must set sail for the waters of Brinewater Bay to learn the location of the Lair of the Sea-Lich from the dreaded orc-pirate Bloodbeard. The battle will rage above and below the Bay's black waters. No XP, Treasure Coins or participation tokens awarded for TG. Nightmare available if whole party agrees. You must arrive 15 minutes early.

New 4th AND 5th Level Characters!

Another big upgrade this year is full-color character cards that you get to keep as souvenirs.  We are also raising the level of all characters from 3rd to 4th level -- and we have done some major tweaking of the class abilities to make the adventuring more fun.  For instance, now the 4th level Paladin has the "Guard" ability which re-directs all melee attacks toward one selected character to the Paladin instead.

And as a big thank you to our big token collectors, anyone with the "Trio of Might" Ultra Rare tokens will have their character level raised to 5th.  This is pretty cool for all the classes, and most especially for spell casters who get 3rd level spells.

Possessing more than one Ultra Rare token can give your character some added benefits.  Three notable set powers are in play this year involving the five "Might" magic items:

    Crown of Might (2009)

    Orb of Might (2010)*

    Scepter of Might (2011)*

    Boots of Might (2011)*

    Girdle of Might (2011)*

*Available this year as one of your Ultra Rare selections with every $250 purchase.

"Trio of Might":  Equipping with any three of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon.  Being 5th level gets your character more hit points, powers and 3rd level spells if your character is a spell caster.

"Quartet of Might":  Equipping with any four of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon, and your character gains +2 to melee damage.

"Quintet of Might":  Equipping with all five of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon, and your character gains +4 to melee damage.
