SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Charity Fundraiser for
Cancer Research Institute
Only two people have volunteered full-time at all True Dungeon events, and one of those people is a DM named Stu Bernard. I have had the pleasure of knowing Stu well before True Dungeon, and in many ways Stu is a big factor in bringing True Dungeon into existence. Stu was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, and he is receiving treatment at this time. We asked Stu if we should do a fundraiser for many of his out-of-pocket expenses related to his away-from-home treatments, but Stu declined and he suggested we do something to help fund cancer research. Taking his suggestion of handing the raised funds over to the Cancer Research Institute, we have teamed up with the author Dennis Baird to offer, for a contribution of $10, a 96-page True Dungeon novella. There will only be 100 books printed, and each will be signed by the author (and me). The novellas will be professionally printed with a full-color cover and perfect binding. The story detailed within gives an excellent review of the past two years’ events in the three-year story arc, and it presents an interesting introduction to this year’s final adventure.
The books will be on sale at the True Dungeon event as well as at Dennis Baird’s booth inside the Exhibit Hall. True Adventures is paying for all the printing and shipping costs, so 100% of all money raised will go directly to the Cancer Research Institute. Please think about picking up a copy of the novella. It will be a nice memento of the three-year adventure, and you will be doing some good as well.
