Some True Dungeon Event Tickets Have the WRONG Location!
Due to a software problem at Gen Con, LLC some True Dungeon event tickets were mailed out to players with the wrong location listed on the ticket. The correct location is still where it was last year – on the second floor of the Marriott Hotel. PLEASE tell everyone in your group about the problem as we don’t want to lose any players. As a side note: if you don’t have any TD tickets your chances of getting into the event just went up! Be sure to stop by the event and sign up for the Waiting List. We are allowing an 8th player this year, so your chances of getting into the event are excellent. Just bring $34.50 in generic tickets with you, and be ready to game.
Tickets Still Available for True Arena
There still are a few open slots for the True Arena Tournament. It is a whole bunch of fun, and it is your chance to see how your steady nerves and dead aim stack up against other True Dungeon warriors. The event is an elimination tournament that boasts some awesome prizes and a whole bunch of fun. Check the Gen Con Event Ticket booth for available times.
Combo and Reserve Token Times
David Radtke will be trading for Combo Tokens and Reserve Tokens outside in the hallway near the entrance to the True Dungeon Tavern. The times he will be there are:
Thursday 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Friday 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturday 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Gold and Gem tokens can be exchanged for reserve tokens during the combo times for amounts totaling 1,000 GP and less. Reserve exchanges for total amounts greater than 1000GP must be arranged with David prior to Gen Con at dave(at)truedungeon.com.
Tokens – Deadline to Order BEFORE Gen Con is Monday!
You have until the end of Monday, August 6th to place your order for any tokens you want before heading to Gen Con. They will be sent out immediately via 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail. This is your last chance to outfit your party before Gen Con. We cannot guarantee that we will have tokens available for sale the entire length of Gen Con Indy. Get yours now! Token Exchange Has Been CANCELLED!
Due to a lot of unforeseen issues with this program we have been forced to cancel it for 2007. There will be no token exchange hosted by TD where you would turn in lesser value tokens for a greater value token. We hope to re-visit this idea again next year.
Charity Token: Feedback Loop
We are teaming up with Matthew “Feedback” Atherton (first season winner of “Who Wants to be a Superhero?”) to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic program. Feedback has commissioned a special treasure token that is a magical ring with limited charges. It is called a “Feedback Loop” and it is available for a donation of $5 (or $10 autographed) at Feedback signings inside the Exhibit Hall at the Media Guest Booth. See convention program for exact times when Feedback will be available at the Media Guest Booth. Feedback may also be hanging out in the True Dungeon Tavern as we are lucky enough to count him as a friend and fan of the event.
The total allotment of available Feedback Loop tokens will be divided in two – with one half of the tokens available on Thursday and the other half on Friday. There is an ample supply of these tokens, but this step is being taken to give more people a chance to buy one for charity.
True Dungeon Tavern Info
The Tavern will be open from noon until midnight on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday the hours are noon to 10:00pm. The cash bar inside the Tavern is open from 3:00pm until midnight Thursday and Friday – and the cash bar is open from noon to 10:00pm on Saturday. Admission is $3 at the door. If you are a 4th level TD player you get into the Tavern for free all Con long, and all players will receive a free Tavern admission token at the end of their adventure. If the Tavern is not crowded some players will be directed into the Tavern at the end of their adventure for free. If the Tavern is busy, then you will be directed to exit into the hallway. If you still wish to enter the Tavern at that time you must redeem your free tavern admission token at the entrance.
There are lots of cool free mini-events happening inside the Tavern all Con long, so please stop by and participate in the fun.
Saturday Night Auction
At 8:00pm on Saturday at Gen Con Indy we will have a small special auction of True Dungeon items. These will be things like props from previous years, items used as models in the tokens, and other goodies that only True Dungeon fans will enjoy. We will accept payment in the form of Reserve Tokens ONLY, so be sure to cash in your old tokens for nice shiny Reserve Tokens during special times listed above. We will give you back change after you pay for your winning bid in the form of Gems or other Reserve Tokens. The auction will take place near the Event Reg Desk at 8:00pm on Saturday night. The exact location will be posted there at that time. The list of items that are scheduled to appear are:
