True Dungeon UPDATE!

Big Thanks!

I want to thank you all for again showing your great support for our event by continuing to buy out our event tickets. Tickets for the two two-hour dungeon adventures (and True Grind) have virtually sold out, and tickets for the one-hour TD Mini-Quest are continuing to sell. If you did not have a chance to get some tickets for the two-hour adventures, please think about playing in the TD Mini-Quest event. There are still tickets available (especially later in the weekend) and even some whole slots of 6 tickets are left. You can easily view available TD Mini-Quest tickets by clicking on the below link. In the new window, type in mini in the Keyword box, and be sure to select TDA True Dungeon Adventures from the Event Type drop-down menu.

And there are eight tickets left to the TD 101 seminar which is hosted by some great veteran TD players. You can find them by searching the Seminar events.

Gen Con Dump of TD Tickets in Shopping Carts

Now that the credit card issue has been resolved Gen Con, LLC has announced that it will begin purging TD event tickets left in shopping carts on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 3 pm (Eastern). Any account with event tickets that have been inactive for more than 2 hours will return to inventory. Carts moving forward from this date/time will have the 2 hour of inactivity limit applied. This means that some TD event tickets will start to become available at this time, so be sure to check out the Gen Con website on Friday to see if you can snag some extra tickets.

One Big Back-Story for ALL True Dungeon Events This Year

Both the two two-hour adventures, True Grind and TD Mini-Quest will all have back-stories link to the same overall story arc. All these events will fill in more of the background information of how the peaceful remote village of Oakvale was attacked and burned by some unknown threat. Next year, all the events will also tie together to bring to a climax this two-year story arc.

True Dungeon Mini-Quest: Getting In

In response to many requests for a smaller, less complicated version of a standard True Dungeon module, we are providing a one-hour TD adventure whose focus is more on fun and action -- with less rules. This is a great introductory event for TD newbies, but it still can be enjoyed by TD Vets as well who want a fun hour of action and adventure. No outside tokens can be used, but some will be provided inside the event. The challenges are more physical and hands on, while the combat is more simplified and fun. There are still a few puzzling challenges, but this event will rely more on your dexterity and quickness than smarts as a true test of eligibility in a Rogues Guild should be!

The adventure entails a group of SIX thugs who are trying to achieve membership in the local Rogues Guild by pulling off a heist inside the citys Temple of Pelor. It seems a wizard from the remote village of Oakvale has hired the Rogues Guild to acquire a relic to help him with an experiment. Many obstacles must be overcome with daring, wits and luck so that the party can make off with their bounty. The cost of this six-player event is $24/ticket. True Dungeon XP is available for this event, but only for players who have not achieved 4th level by the start of the event. This event is available in both normal and NIGHTMARE mode. We are running this event from 9:36am until 11:48pm (with a time slot every 12 minutes) on Thursday and Friday, and from 9:36am until 6:48pm on Saturday.

Tickets can still be found by CLICKING HERE

True Realm Podcast

I had the pleasure of chatting with Cody and John from the Game On Podcast at True Realm, and you can hear that episode clicking on the logo below. They talk a lot about TD and True Realm. More details about a possible 2010 True Realm will be announced around mid-May in a TD newsletter.

Thanks Again!

We really appreciate your continued support, and we cant wait until Gen Con. It should be a whole lot of fun!
